When you switch on monitoring for a site, we request its homepage every 5 minutes from one location and record whether it responded and how fast.
What you see
- The current state (up or down) and the last 24 hours of results on the My sites page.
- A bar for each of the last 48 checks. Red bars are failed checks.
Alerts
A site is marked down after two failed checks in a row, so one blip does not raise an alarm. Alerts are sent by email when email delivery is set up for the service. Whatever happens with email, the current state is always visible on My sites.
You can monitor up to 5 sites. This is a basic check, not a guarantee. Read Service levels for what is and is not promised.
